Hard Boiled Eggs

This technique really makes eggs that peel easily (the worst part of hard boiled eggs).

Ingredients Directions

  • Eggs
  • Water

  1. Place steamer basket into sauce pan with about 1 inch of water (water should not be entering the basket)
  2. Bring to a boil
  3. Add eggs
  4. Cover, set heat to medium low, and cook for 13 minutes
  5. Remove from the heat and place eggs in an ice bath for 15 minutes
  6. Drain some water, cover ice bath container and shake moderately for a bit

Notes

This actually works to make the eggs easy to peel. Use moderation when shaking, you want the shells to crack a bunch, but not breaking chunks out of the eggs.
